A realisation has crept upon me

that creating and producing music

is vital to my sanity and being.

For years I had unending excuses

why I couldn't do

what I wanted to do. 

I wanted help.

Life felt too hard.

But the more I looked around,

the more I saw

that life IS hard,

unbearably so for many.

Yet amazing how we bear it,

not by choice

but from necessity,

protesting,

kicking,

screaming,

angry.

And we find we are bigger than we realise.

My heart breaks

at the brokenness

of the world around me,

and in me.

And only one thing is clear:

The only way through is

LOVE.

And every song I write is about this.
